Nov 30, 2016- Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal (SSFN) Chairman Upendra Yadav has said that the government committed a grave mistake by tabling the constitution amendment bill in the parliament without the consensus of Sanghiya Gathabandhan– an alliance of Madhes-based and Janajati parties including SSFN.

In a press statement issued on Wednesdat, SSFN Chairman Yadav said that the it was a mistake on the part of government to register the amendment bill without addressing the demands of Indigenous people, janajati, Tharu, Khas, Muslim, Women, Dalit and Madhesi people.

The amendment bill cannot be accepted as the bill tabled by the government does not address the issue of language, gender inequality and it does not have the consent of the dissenting parties, read the statement.
